Te Whenua Tōmuri Trust is a charitable trust formed in 2013.
‘Te tangata tōmua, te whenua tōmuri’ was an agreement made by Taranaki rangatira before the Land Wars, to put themselves forward to protect the land.
Our Trust is committed to assist in sustainable community development and well-being in Taranaki and beyond; and to inspire and empower people to protect our communities and natural environment through sustainable techniques – Tiaki Taiao, promotion of kaitiakitanga.
Our Trust Board is incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957. Trustees are Emily Tuhi-Ao Bailey, Marie Gregory-Hunt, Hinenui Wano-Bryant, Sera Gibson and Hoani Eriwata. Our treasurer is Urs Signer. We are registered with the Charities Services.
