WHAT: Taiao Wānanga – Hōtoke 2020
WHEN: Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th July (school holidays)
WHERE: Mangaemiemi Marae, Otaraua Hapū rohe, Tikorangi
WHO: for whānau and individuals interested in learning about kaitiakitanga
Join us for our next School holiday whānau wānanga. This time we’ll be focusing on plant propagation, riparian plans, fencing and riparian planting. We’ll be doing more water monitoring, fish and ecological surveys along with some star navigation. We’ll be confirming details asap here, on our facebook page and via email if you’re on our email list. It may be our last wānanga for a while so don’t miss out!
This is a wānanga for the whole whānau. Under 16s must come with a guardian. If you need assistance with getting to the marae, please get in touch and we will help where we can. There is no cost but feel free to bring a koha especially if it is kai you have caught, made or grown. Let’s get outside and enjoy Taiao.
If you have any questions, please email robynmartinkemp[a]hotmail.com or call Robyn on 022 438 5771.
Ngā mihi nui,
Robyn Martin-Kemp, Urs Signer, Soraya Forbes, Hoani Eriwata and Emily Bailey (the Maru Wai Matara team).
